How to play

  1. Spanner gives you four letters, such as e · a · t · h.
  2. Make words containing the four letters together as one adjacent block. For example, feather contains eath.
  3. The four-letter block cannot begin at the first character or finish at the last character.
  4. Scoring is simple: 1 point for every letter beyond the four-letter span. feather is 3 points.
  5. The opening scorecard is frozen and can be shared; later words do not alter it.
  6. After four valid words, Hint unlocks. It shows the full answer list as word shapes: the four-letter span stays visible and every other letter is replaced by an underscore.
  7. Plural forms are allowed and count as separate words when they contain the span internally.
  8. Rounds vary automatically: Compact (8–24), Standard (25–49), Deep (50–69), or occasional Marathon (70+).
